I hate my living room! Any suggestions on how to lighten it up and give it more feng shui that doesn’t cost a lot? The walls are wood paneling and the floor is really ugly gray plastic rug…
Definitely paint the wood paneling! Painted paneling has a cool effect because it keeps the interest of vertical lines without the dark, dated look of wood grain. A nice slate blue would be calming but modern. Another great way to update a room is with crown molding. You can find it for cheap and it isn’t too difficult to put up.
